For Parents
A Message To Parents
Greetings Families & Caregivers,
I am delighted to be able to offer you and your family an approach to tutoring that is based on research, as well as personal and professional experience. This approach brings with it some “tried and true” solid solutions for children who are experiencing difficulties in reading and writing; challenges that often affect their sense of well being.
I know first hand how crushing it can be when the “one size fits all” approach to learning doesn’t seem to fit you or your child. I have learned the sense of isolation and feeling of defeat for parents, children, and teachers that is all too often the result. The problems and gaps can seem insurmountable; the cycle of frustration and failure appears to be endless.
As a teacher who has specialized in, and become a life-long learner of, the teaching of reading and writing, I know how essential strong literacy skills are to personal as well as academic self-esteem. There are solutions. I can help.
You are vital to the solution. The relationship that we build is as essential as the one that I develop with your child. In my experience, the dynamics between us have a significant impact on the confidence, motivation and consistent practice required for your child to walk through the challenge of “growing into” his or her own “individual size,” and knowing that the “fit” shines with brilliance.
That’s why I say I’m delighted. As a tutor, I have the room for time and flexibility that is key to determine our approach. This helps ensure that your child will see his or herself as a learner who can use knowledge to be part of an ever changing world.
I look forward to working with you! Ms Rachel Kuklinski
